It is trying to keep the audio and video in sync and is skipping or duplicating frames in the process. The important factor is that Hitmix Express cannot handle VFR (variable framerate) very well. When it comes to the export, use the same frame rate as the source file. When you are finished encoding the file in a CFR (constant framerate) you can edit it as usual in Hitfilm Express.
